FIRST Lego League Explore

What is FLL Explore?
FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Explore is a hands-on STEM program designed for students in grades 1–2. It introduces young learners to the fundamentals of science, technology, engineering, and math through creative exploration, building, and teamwork — all using LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential or WeDo 2.0 kits.

Each season has a real-world theme (like transportation, energy, or recycling) that inspires the team's research and building activities.
What do students do?
1. Build & Code a Model
Using the LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential or WeDo 2.0 kit, teams design and build a moving model that represents what they've learned about the theme.
2. Create a Show Me Poster
Teams document their journey with a Show Me Poster — a colorful presentation that includes their research, model design, and what they learned as a team.
3. Celebrate at a Festival
The season ends with a Festival event, where teams share their models and posters with families and community members in a fun, non-competitive setting. Every child is recognized and celebrated!
